Religious Education (RE)
Subject Leader - Miss Hodgson
Children are taught RE in line with the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.
Religious Education has a significant role for the development of pupil’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. It promotes respect and open mindedness towards others with different faiths and beliefs, equipping them with knowledge and skills to aid their understanding of different beliefs and practices in our multi-cultural society.
The principle aim of RE at Rufford is to engage pupils using an enquiry approach asking and answering challenging questions and feeling empowered to talk about their own and others beliefs in an open, safe manner.
